This Mother's Day-Part One

When I was very young,
before I started preschool,
my mother was diagnosed with cancer.
It was a type of blood cancer that was extremely rare.
She was given six months to live.
She had a husband and two little girls at home.
  And she cried.
And she fought.
And she prayed.
And then she prayed some more.
And God blessed us and allowed her to stay with us.
To raise her girls to become women.
And to see us have our own children.
And then He called her home.
And she went with a grateful heart.

I love you Mom.
