Two New Actresses Join The Runaways

Two new actresses join Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning in there new flick The Runnaways here what Celebuzz Wrote about it.
Kristen Stewart
and Dakota Fanning have two new actors joining them in the cast of their Joan Jett biopic The Runaways, which started filming in Los Angeles last week.

Tatum O'Neal has been cast as Dakota's character's mother, according to Life & Style. Tatum is the daughter of Ryan O'Neal and step-daughter of the late Farrah Fawcett, and is also the youngest actress to have ever won an Academy Award. (That'd be for her role in 1973's Paper Moon, not her performance during her drug bust last year.)

In addition, LatinoReview.com has revealed that Alia Shawkat has joined the cast, as 18-year-old bass player Robin. Alia played Mae "Maeby" Funke in the cult-hit comedy series Arrested Development.

New Updates From Stephenie Meyer Website

WESTWOOD, CA - NOVEMBER 17: Writer Stephenie ...Image by Getty Images via Daylife

First, in case you didn't see it, New Moon: The Complete Illustrated Movie Companion is already available for pre-order (even though the cover art has not been released). For those of you who haven't seen the Twilight Companion, it is filled with high-quality images and behind-the-scenes information. Please note that Stephenie does not write these books, but I really enjoyed the first one.

Also, Random House (the company who produces the Twilight audiobooks) is hosting another contest through their subsidiary suvudu.com. They will be giving away the entire Twilight series on audio books (you must be a resident of the United States and 18 years of age or older to enter). Please note that this contest is not at all affiliated with StephenieMeyer.com, although I do enjoy listening to the audio books.

About Hilary's second tatoo...

On Friday, April 24, 2009 i posted here about the new tatoo of Hilary...but now we get more info about it. Check:
The tattoo reads “ma petite amie.” In this spelling, it refers to a close female friend (maybe Haylie), reading either “my little friend” (literal) or “my girlfriend” (proper meaning) (maybe the way mike calls/refers to hilary).

Eclipse Production and Release Date Announced

Here is the article from Dead Central
Get ready for more glistening goodness, horror fans! It wasn't long ago that the news of David Slade (30 Days of Night) signing on to direct the third Twilight flick, Eclipse, broke. This was a pretty interesting announcement for horror fans, and one that is developing quickly.

Production Weekly says that Slade will be busy at Vancouver film studios from August 17th through October 31, where he’ll capture the trials and tribulations of Bella (Kristen Stewart) as she’s torn between teams Edward and Jacob. There’s also a rash of brutal murders tossed in there for good measure should you grow tired of the endless pining.

These movies are certainly on the fast track, and considering the phenomenal success of the first one, it’s not hard to see why. Will David Slade spruce up the material and create something out of nothing.

Look for Eclipse in theatres June 30, 2010.

Wil Wheaton, Actor, Writer, Blogger, Tweeter and Star Trek Reviewer

Wil Wheaton, known to many of us as Wesley Crusher from Star Trek: The Next Generation, was a series regular for the first four seasons of the show (he then guess-starred twice in season five and twice in season seven). An actor first, and a self-professed geek, Wil has flourished as an accomplished author-writer: first by creating a blog (WWdN: In Exile)– Wil may have been one of the earliest bloggers out there - and then, as some of you may already know, by writing and publishing 4 books (Dancing Barefoot, Just a Geek, The Happiest Days of our Lives and Sunken Treasure - he also wrote articles for LA Weekly’s LA Daily and Geek in Review amongst other things). On top of it all, he also finds the time to tweet (under @wilw) to his more than 870,000 followers!
Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of reading Just a Geek, which is a memoir based mainly on his years on Star Trek and on his life after he left the show. It is surprisingly personal and honest and the book is deliciously well written, thoughtful, and at times funny as Hell! I may have fallen in love with him a bit just then.

What some of you may not know is that Wil also wrote a few reviews on a number of episodes from the first season of Star Trek: TNG (you can find them here); reviews that I made the mistake of reading at work, Haha. This is basically how it went: I was sitting at my post at the reception desk, completely oblivious to what was about to ensue as I began reading. I have to tell you that Wil does not shy away from letting us know what he thought of these episodes, adding humorous remarks here and there, saying out loud what the viewers were probably thinking internally, even re-writing some dialogue bits! I also learned some interesting behind the scenes facts and a thing or two about our beloved TNG actors (all good). Of course, what had to happen happened and I began laughing hysterically, tears running down my face. I was barely able to answer the phone. To make matters worse, my colleagues shot me some weird glances as they passed me by, probably wondering why I was laughing by myself, and surmising that I was possibly on drugs or something. Oh well - Thank you Wil Wheaton for making me laugh!

The point of that little story is to let you know, dear readers, just how funny, talented and insightful Wil Wheaton is and more importantly, that he is an incredible writer. For those who went ahead and read the reviews, know that they will soon be upcoming (if I'm not mistaken) in a compilation book called Memories of the Future.
Cheers!
