Rising star Ashley Greene used to trail her now ex-boyfriend, Josh Henderson, while he worked on the set of Desperate Housewives. As Josh tells it, "She used to come on set with me and be like, 'Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh.' So, I'm completely stoked for her that she's doing her own thing."
However, Henderson also reveals that had things played out a little differently, he and his ex might have found themselves both on the set of Eclipse. "I talked to Ashley about potentially being the new, college, all-American character that's a vampire in the third one. I went for a few auditions, but they went with an Australian kid."
Josh is referring to Xavier Samuel, who will be taking on the role of Riley in the Twilight sequel. As for Ashley, she's a busy woman with her events, photoshoots and more events. She's probably thinking, "Josh who?"

"I was up against some truly great actors who I'm privileged to be considered among," he said from Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles where he was celebrating last night.
"It's a fantastic opportunity."
Xavier explains he'd put together his audition tape in Sydney just three weeks ago, and flew to LA last Thursday.
"It all happened in less than a month!" said Xavier, who graduated from the Flinders University Drama Centre in 2005.

Australian baby face Xavier Samuel has been cast in Eclipse, the third flick in the Twilight franchise.
“I don’t have any facial hair, so it will be a while before I play the gruff leading man,” Xavier has said. “Maybe one day I’ll get to play my actual age. For now my baby face has condemned me to play the teenager.”
According to THR, Xavier, 25, will play newborn vampire Riley, a good-looking college student who joins the plot of villain Victoria to murder protagonist Bella (Kristen Stewart). Riley is corrupted by Victoria, for whom he has an inexplicable weakness.
