Redundant yes, but response to the bootleg copy of David Fincher's Girl With the Dragon Tattoo remake preview was so positive that it would be heartless for us not to post the crisp, official version for your eye holes. Without further adieu . . .

In other news, look for regular blog updates to begin again in the near future as Shawn and I cruise through summer toward our eventual return to The X on Oct. 7. Disney dips into it's vaults, and returns to the world of "Tron" to bring us "Tron: Legacy". Fans will remember the 1982 classic, which was ahead of its time for visual effects and concept. In a time when arcade games were the rage, "Tron" hooked an audience with the concept of being INSIDE an arcade game- and kept that audience with a solid storyline and great acting. Of all the video game movies made, fans will probably agree that "Tron" was one of the best of all time.
And now, on 17 December 2010, Disney will be releasing "Tron: Legacy", which continues the story of Kevin Flynn (played by Jeff Bridges from the first movie), as his son, Sam, gets pulled into the digital world where he's been trapped for the past 20 years.
This movie promises to be a joy ride for fans of the original movie, and possibly a treat for those that were unaware of this franchise. Given the advances in computer generated imagery, we can only assume that the visual effects will be mind blowing and jaw dropping. The famous light cycles and light discs return, and new vehicles and landscapes will appear.
Will fans be pleased? Will "Tron: Legacy" capture a new generation of video game players? Maybe the trailer below will provide a clue...
The trailer for Ryan Reynolds new thriller Buried went live on iTunes today. And it looks pretty freakin' intense!
Buried tells the story of Paul, a U.S. contractor working in Iraq. After an attack by a group of Iraqis he wakes to find he is buried alive inside a coffin. With only a lighter and a cell phone, it's a race against time for Paul to escape this claustrophobic death trap.
The preview doesn't show much, but it sure builds some suspense and tension. My heart was in my throat by the end of it. This is one I will certainly seek out upon release.
