Amanda Righetti born April 4, 1983is an American actress and film producer. She is best known for her roles in The Mentalist, Friday the 13th and The O.C. In 2008, Righetti was the winner of the Best Actress award at the New York International Independent Film Video Festival for the Short Film category. Amanda was ranked in the top 100 Sexiest Women in the world in 2005 and 2006 by FHM Magazine.

Early life
She was born in St. George, Utah,and raised in Overton, Nevada, some 60 miles from Las Vegas. The youngest of eight children, Amanda has six older sisters and one older brother. She has a background in dancing jazz and ballet. She moved to Los Angeles to seek further acting opportunities. She married film director and writer Jordan Alan on April 29, 2006.
Career
Working as a film producer, Righetti oversaw production on numerous TV commercials and short films. After securing a role in the pilot for a proposed, but ultimately scrapped series by the name of No Place Like Home, Righetti caught the eye of FOX executives. She played a recurring character in teen drama The O.C., was a regular in the short-lived primetime soap North Shore and in late 2005, Righetti starred in FOX's drama Reunion.
In 2006, Righetti signed on to star as the female lead in horror sequel Return to House on Haunted Hill. The film was released straight to DVD in October 2007. In April 2008, she was cast as the female lead in the slasher reboot Friday the 13th. Production ended in June 2008 and the film was released to theaters on February 13, 2009. Since September 23, 2008, Righetti has been a regular cast member on the CBS hit series The Mentalist. While working on The Mentalist, she has starred as the female lead in three movies to be released in 2011.
