Hilary Duff was interviewed for Newsday.com about her War, Inc. role, which opens to select theaters this Friday. It’s a good detailed interview with Hilary.
"smoking, letting boys put their hands … The character was a bit vulgar. I don’t think using the … word would have bothered me if I had said it once or twice, but it’s throughout the whole movie. But I’m just acting."
Hilary Duff’s character Yonica Babyyeah is, as we know, quite different from Hilary. In her own words, Hilary says she not only swears, but she’s:
Hilary says that people didn’t want to give her a chance in films, because she was always doing movies where she was nice as a kid. So, it put her in a box. The War, Inc. script was very outside that zone - it was "out there and crazy." Hilary is taking a break from movies right now and reading scripts, but Hilary would love to do a big movie, an action movie.
With Greta, also coming up soon, Hilary also takes on a different role. Her character is in an interracial relationship, which Hilary didn’t even consider when taking the film. Although normal for her and for many people, it will be a controversial aspect of the film. In the interview, Hilary also talks about the pain of her her mom and dad separating. Hilary deu uma entrevista para o Newsday.com, sobre seu mais recente trabalho War, Inc. Que vai passar em alguns cinemas americanos nesta sexta - "The Landmark" e "Angelika Film Center".
A personagem de Hilary, Yonica Babyyeah, como sabemos é muito diferente dela. Em suas palavras, Hilary disse: ela só não fala palavrões como também:
"Fuma, deixa os rapazes a "alisarem"... a personagem é um pouco vulgar. Eu não acho que as palavras teriam me incomodado se eu as usasse uma ou duas vezes, mas é durante todo o filme, mas eu estava apenas atuando."
Hilary diz que as pessoas não queriam lhe dar uma chance no filme, porque ela sempre fez papéis como uma menina doce e simpática. Então ela guardou essa menina doce em uma caixa. O script de War, Inc. Era muito fora dessa área - eraa como "Louco e Inovador". Hilary está dando um tempo de filmes e de leitura de scrips, mas ela gostaria de fazer um grande filme, um filme de ação.
Em Greta, Hilary também assume um papel diferente de sua realidade, sua personagem está em um relacionamento interracial, Hilary nem considerou na hora de pegar o papel, na entrevista Hilary também fala do sofrimento que está passando por causa da separação de seus pais,
