Metro.co.uk posted an article of the names on the shortlist of celebrity nominees for the Greenest Star Award at Playhouse Disney's Playing for the Planet Awards. Emma Watson, known as “Hermione Granger” in the Harry Potter films, was nominated for her efforts to support the Wild Trout Trust. David Tennant, who had the role of "Barty Crouch, Jr." in Goblet of Fire and is now known for his title role in the BBC series Doctor Who, was nominated for his endorsement of hybrid cars.Playhouse Disney’s Playing for the Planet is a program supported by Disney and Disney.co.uk to teach preschoolers how to respect and save the planet through fun activities like making superhero capes from Dad’s old jackets. To celebrate the first anniversary of the program, the Playing For the Planet Awards were created to honor and reward the big and small eco heroes in seven categories. One of those categories is the Greenest Star Award which honors “the best green role model from the celebrity world” . Along with Emma Watson and David Tennant, Lily Cole, Stella McCartney, Madonna and Johnny Depp are also on the list of nominees. Star couple Gwyneth Paltrow and husband Chris Martin earned a joint nomination.
