Bad review of "Stay Cool" in IMDb

by elvin815
"I saw this movie last night at the Tribeca screening. I'm warning everybody here: this movie will make you want to vomit.
Before I get into my review of why this is so(wont be a spoiler, dont worry), I would like to point out that I am 22, the movie's targetted demographic.
1) The film was entirely unoriginal- I think Polish watched Garden State the night before writing the script. There was a scene in the movie where Henry (lead actor played by Polish) returns home, takes out his dads car, gets pulled over for speeding and, surprisingly, recognizes the police officer to be a long lost high school pal. Sound familiar?
2) The editing was horrendous. The scenes were very choppy. There were essentially no transitions. In one screen, you would see Henry and friend meet, in the next they are sitting at the dinner table, in the next they are in a bookstore. Additionally, the music selection was horrible. The music cut into many of the scenes and much of the dialogue was interrupted by the blaring audio.
3) Acting. Horrific. I guess when the script is so bad, you got to cut the actors some slack and place some of the burden on the writer, but c'mon, good acting could make a movie bearable. Ironically, the lead actor happens to be the script writer. Talk about taking down a movie single handedly! Winona's performance was poor and what do you really expect out of Hillary Duff. Sean Astin did his best impression of Nathan Lane from Birdcage, but fails miserably. What were these actors thinking taking this movie? Did they read the script? Either they have mentally challenged agents or they are extremely desperate.
4) Not only was the plot unoriginal, but it was not intriguing in the slightest.
I have to cut this short, I'm beginning to get flashbacks and its making me angry. I will leave you with this: Many viewers left early. A critic who was sitting in front of me left thirty minutes into it. It was so bad, that Hillary Duff and Chevy Chase left early too (While they did leave early, this was probably to avoid getting mobbed afterwords). Most of the ballots (they rate TFF featured films) that I witnessed being submitted by viewers were ranked POOR (1, on the 1-5 scale). As for me, I was considerate of my peers and the cramped rows, that I decided to sit through the entire flick.
With all honestly, I say:
This was, without a doubt, my most unpleasant and most regrettable movie going experience. "

"Eu vi "Stay Cool" ontem à noite no Tribeca Film Festival.
