Premier in Los Angeles California!!!

The WB has announced that the premier for the 5th installment of the Harry Potter movies in US is going to be in the city of Los Angeles, at the Grauman's Chinese Theater located in 6925 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood (my fav place in LA) Sunday July 8th at 2pm.

I knew about the LA premier a few months ago but I didn't want to post it yet until the WB's announcement!

Note

The LA streets are nothing like the NY streets, LA streets specially Hollywood Blvd are very wide street so whoever is going to this premier, make sure to get there on time otherwise you'll ended up across the street from the Grauman's Chinese Theater which is NOT a very good spot!

Hope to see a lot of Dan and Emma fans in this premier.

In a recent interview Orlando Bloom talked about Daniel and Equus

He seems aware, then, that he has reached something of a crossroads. "Is there a play that I can get off the ground?" he asks. "I don't want to be thrust out into London's West End and feel like my balls are left hanging. At the same time, it would be great to do a play in the West End and be part of a company. I did see Equus recently and thought Daniel Radcliffe [the Harry Potter star] did a great job. It was really a brave choice. It made me think."

As someone that is not an Orlando fan, this comment was well appreciated!!

On a related note, according to many fans from different fan sites, Orlando Bloom is not the only star who has had the luck to witness this amazing play, names likes J.K Rowling, Helen Mirren, Brendan Fraiser, Dustin Hoffman and Alan Rickman...!!

News About December Boys

Thanks to Alana from (December Boys Blog) and also The Age an online paper we have news about Dan's independent movie "December Boys."

Warner Bros Pictures International has agreed to fund the worldwide distribution of Village-funded movie December Boys, which features Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe.

The announcement was made jointly today by Sue Kroll and Veronika Kwan-Rubinek, Warner Bros. Pictures International's President, Marketing, and President, Distribution, respectively, and Graham Burke, Co-Chairman, Village Roadshow Pictures Group.

"December Boys is one of those unique movies where people come out of the theatre often having had a good cry and feeling really good," said Burke. "I think it will connect with audiences in all cultures. The film has been a wonderful collaboration between the Film Finance Corporation, Richard Becker and us at Village Roadshow Pictures." "We're delighted to work with Warner Independent and Village Roadshow in releasing this compelling project around the world," said Kwan-Rubinek. Kroll added, "We are likewise thrilled to be involved in Daniel's next project as he continues to bring new dimensions to his career."

Graham Burke also said the agreement for December Boys was "the first time that a major American studio has picked up one of our Australian indigenous local films since Mad Max".

This is good news for the international release, as you all know the movie is going to open in US Sept. 14 and having two major distributors in Warner Independent Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures is HUGE for this movie.

I do have a few contacts that work for WB (Burbank CA) as you all know the main offices are here in Los Angeles in the city of Burbank and for good sources (Bernie lol) I can tell you that the location of the US premier of OotP has a lot to do with wanting Dan in "this" city because of December Boys...I will give you more info later on regarding this news.

Radcliffe plays the oldest of the four.

Looking beyond the role of boy wizard, Radcliffe is presently in London starring in the legit revival of "Equus," for which he's received strong notices.

Dan and Broadway!

There were many reports of who was going to replace Dan in Equus after Dan's end of contract on June 9, but according to The Telegraph, Mr. Pugh, producer of Equus, will not be looking for replacements but he will close Equus production by June 9

"The West End's economy is brittle, especially for straight plays, but with its two stars, the revival has been a huge and unexpected success."

Mr. Pugh talked about casting and the great success this play thanks to their main stars

"Mr Pugh's decision not to recast the parts but to close it when their contracts end on June 9, after 150 performances, is a major surprise.

Straight plays, fighting for attention against musicals, struggle for audiences in the West End but Equus, staged at the high cost of £700,000, has been grossing £300,000 a week and it paid off its costs in the first nine weeks."
He also talks about Equus in Broadway

A national tour of Equus, so far uncast, is to follow the West End closure and Mr Pugh is to take the revival to Broadway in early summer next year.

Griffiths and Radcliffe have been offered the New York run, but both are said to be "still in discussions" about it.

Thanks to Ada for the tip!
